Welcome
Welcome to our recruitment microsite for the recruitment of leaders for Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT).
As an organisation we have had a real focus and determination to make significant progress with our ongoing journey to create safer, kinder and better services for everyone.
We have developed and embedded a clear strategic framework focused on transformation and improvement. This is underpinned by our four strategic priorities: Improving Health, Improving Care, Improving Culture and Improving Value and 12 large-scale change programmes. One of our key programmes has seen us work with service users, carers and bereaved families to learn from the deaths of people who have used the Trust’s services. This learning has been vital and we now have a credible mortality reporting system in place.
We have also delivered a comprehensive restructure of the way our services are provided and at the start of this year we introduced five new clinical locality groups across Norfolk and Suffolk. Each group is led by three locality leaders with support from colleagues. We have also significantly increased and invested in clinical leadership roles, including new community matrons. At the same time, we have strengthened our executive leadership with a number of experienced substantive appointments alongside new Non-Executive Director appointments.
Crucially, we are ensuring that service users, their families and carers are at the heart of our long-term improvement. A Trust-wide Service User and Carer Council has been set up, while plans are in place to develop further councils in each of our five new clinical localities. This is essential to ensure the voices of service users, carers and families are integrated into everything we do. The Trust has also established a Listening into Action (LiA) staff-led change programme.
Our Trust has a workforce of over 5,000 hardworking, committed, and dedicated staff and since I joined NSFT as its Chief Executive I continue to be impressed by the commitment and dedication I have witnessed from our workforce and our partners. The COVID-19 pandemic and national financial constraints continue to have a significant impact on people’s mental health, and we are seeing a significant rise in demand for services.
Our staff show resilience, compassion and professionalism to the pressure and demand of delivering care and supporting colleagues and we are focused on continuous improvement and development of our services to meet ever increasing demand.
We know that we are at an early stage of our improvement and transformation journey and that whilst this is an indication we are able to change and improve our services, we still have much more to do.
We are looking to appoint individuals who have a passion for our work and a track record of achievement in influencing colleagues and partners to deliver high quality care. We want to appoint inspirational and compassionate leaders who will develop their teams to provide outstanding care.
If you have a reputation for leadership and people development, quality and improvement and a passion for improving outcomes with a focus on equity and inclusion to ensure that mental health provision has parity across our partners, then please do consider applying for one of our available roles. We are determined to create a safer, kinder, and better organisation that our service users, families, carers, partner organisations, stakeholders and our staff can be proud of.
